Enable/Disable 2FA (Two Factors Authentication)

Learn how to enable or disable the 2FA on your account.

If you want to enable 2FA.

Enabling 2FA allows you to protect your account against account takeover and data breach. Jitt priority is your privacy and safety, but as security is the duty of everyone we highly recommend you to activate it as soon as possible.

We recommend you to use Google Authenticator on your mobile device. It is free and available on Google Play Store and Apple's App Store.

Log in to your account.

We need to access your account settings to set up your 2FA. If you are already logged in, you can click directly here.

Click on the dropdown menu and select Yes.

On your device, continue the set up.

Download Google Authenticator on iOS or Android. Once installed, open the application and add a new website (click on the top right check mark)

After clicking on the icon, you should see a wizard that look similar or same to this below.

Type on either scan a barcode to scan the QR code or enter manually the key.

If you can't scan the QR code on your Jitt account, you can manually enter the key that is found below the QR code. After entering one of these options, you're almost all set. Now we need to return back on your computer.

Verify your 2FA set up.

Enter the newly generated code found on your Google Authenticator application to verify the set up and click on Update.

This will prevent to make sure the 2FA is properly set up.

Make sure the 2FA is set up properly, otherwise you won't have access to your account. You'll need to contact us to get your account back.

Disable your 2FA.

To disable you 2FA, please just select No instead of Yes on this step.
